Formada na Suécia no início dos anos 90, a banda Mind’s Eye faz um rock progressivo com influencias de Yes, E.L.O. e Genesis. Em seus quase 15 anos de estrada, a banda contou com um ‘line up’ um tanto instável, pelo qual já passaram os vocalistas Johan Falhberg (Jaded Heart) e Thomas Vikström (Candlemass, Stormwind), entre outros.
Hoje a banda conta com o baterista e tecladista Daniel Flores, o baixista e guitarrista Johan Niemann e o vocalista Andreas Novak. Ótimos músicos, eles dividem seu tempo entre a banda e o trabalho como músicos de estúdio, com exceção de Johan Niemann que é integrante do Therion. Daniel Flores, baterista cotadíssimo na Suécia, também trabalha como produtor musical.
Destacamos o álbum “Walking on H20” que foi produzido por Daniel Flores que também é responsável por quase a totalidade das composições - música e letra - deste lançamento. O álbum traz 13 faixas em 1h e 15 minutos de rock progressivo suave, sinfônico e bastante calcado no hard rock. As canções falam da evolução da espécie humana - como atesta a arte da capa -, religião, fenômenos estranhos, esoterismo e imortalidade.
“Sacred Rules”, “Sahara In An Hourglass”, “The Nazca Lines” e “Mrs. Clair Voyance” são os grandes destaques do álbum. “Walking on H20” não traz nenhuma inovação ao rock progressivo, nem poderia ser considerado um candidato a clássico do estilo, mas vale a pena ouví-lo com atenção.
