Uma das bandas mais aclamadas pela crítica e comercialmente bem sucedido, o grupo já vendeu mais de 200 milhões de álbuns em todo o mundo, incluindo 74,5 milhões de unidades certificadas nos Estados Unidos. Este conjunto de 2 CD contém gravações de shows no Nassau Coliseum, Nova Iorque, agosto de 1988, acrescentado com algumas atuações do The Palais de Versailles, Paris, Junho de 1988. Eloy - Visionary - 2009

Os alemães do Eloy estão de volta! Apesar de nunca terem anunciado oficialmente um encerramente de atividades o último disco do grupo Ocean 2: The Answer (1998) data de longínquos 11 anos atrás.

Visionary (2009) acaba de ser lançado e foi gravado quase ‘em segredo’ pela banda alemã, já que as notícias de uma volta só foram anunciadas algumas semanas antes do lançamento do disco.
O Eloy foi formado em 1969 na cidade de Hanover pelo vocalista/guitarrista Frank Bornemann e é um dos grandes nomes do Rock Progressivo mundial. O novo disco vem como uma comemoração pelos 40 anos de formação da banda. Visionary (2009) foi lançado pelo selo Laser’s Edge Records na europa em 20 de Novembro e será lançado em 12 de Janeiro de 2010 nos EUA, e já pode ser encomendado. Uma versão em vinil também está sendo cogitada.

Blind Faith - 1969

Considerado o primeiro super grupo da históra do rock, o Blind Faith era formado por Steve Winwood (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic), Eric Clapton (The Yardbirds, Cream), Ginger Baker (Graham Bond Organisation, Cream) e Ric Grech (Family). Quando foi anunciada a notícia de que Clapton estaria montando um nova banda, a cena roqueira londrina ardeu ainda mais, todos queriam saber quem seriam seus parceiros, como seria a sonoridade da banda e quando sairia o primeiro disco.
Logo após o final do Cream, Clapton começou a trabalhar em músicas para um futuro projeto com Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker ficou sabendo e se infiltrou no grupo, mesmo a contra gosto de Clapton. Além dos 3, ainda foi convidado Ric Grech para tocar baixo.
O disco atingiu o topo das paradas nos EUA e na Inglaterra e foi o único disco da banda, que se separou após uma rápida turnê de divulgação do trabalho, durante essa turnê a banda fez um show antológico no Hyde Park, em Londres. Mesmo num período tõa breve, 4 monstros da música inglesa, fizeram um dos melhores discos da década de 60, o que é muito. Após o Blind faith, Clapton formou o Derek and the Dominos para grava "Layla and other assorted love songs" (j, Ginger Baker formou a Ginger Baker's Air Force. Winwood voltou ao Trffic e Ric Grench ao Family.
A capa do disco causou muita polêmica, principalmente nos EUA. Lá, o disco ganhou uma capa alternativa apartir da segunda edição, e cá entre nós, essa capa alternativa perto da original não tem nenhuma graça. A capa foi feita por Bob Seidemann, artista plástico e antigo colega de quarto de Clapton numa escola de arte do início dos anos 60.
O nome da banda, é uma sátira de Clapton à frase "Clapton Is God" e de quebra, serviu também para a expectativa que o público e a imprensa criaram em torno da banda.

Shadow Gallery - Digital Ghosts - 2009

"Digital Ghosts" é o 6º album de estúdio do Shadow Gallery, lançado nesse mês de out/2009.

Após o lançamento de "Room V" em 2005, a banda passou por um período de turbulências com a saída do baterista Joe Nevollo e, principalmente, com a morte do vocalista Mike Baker durante o processo de composição e gravação de "Digital Ghosts".

O escolhido para substituir Baker foi Brian Ashland, que tem um estilo parecido mas um pouco mais "metal".

O baterista Joe Nevollo retornou à banda durante as gravações de "Digital Ghosts" tendo contribuído com as baquetas em 2 músicas.

Esse álbum me pareceu mais pesado que os anteriores do Shadow Gallery, mas mantém intactas as características da banda com músicas complexas, longas, com belas orquestrações e arranjos vocais.

"A Inconstitucionalidade dos Pedágios"

O "Direito fundamental de ir e vir" nas estradas do Brasil.

Na Constituição Federal de 1988, Título II, dos "Direitos e Garantias Fundamentais", o artigo 5 diz o seguinte: "Todos são iguais perante a lei, sem distinção de qualquer natureza, garantindo-se aos brasileiros e aos estrangeiros residentes no País a inviolabilidade do direito à vida, à liberdade, à igualdade, à segurança e à propriedade". E no inciso XV do artigo: "é livre a locomoção no território nacional em tempo de paz, podendo qualquer pessoa, nos termos da lei, nele entrar, permanecer ou dele sair com seus bens".

"O direito de ir e vir é cláusula pétrea na Constituição Federal, o que significa dizer que não é possível violar esse direito. E ainda que todo o brasileiro tem livre acesso em todo o território nacional. O que também quer dizer que o pedágio vai contra a constituição".

As estradas não são vendáveis. E o que acontece é que concessionárias de pedágios realiza contratos com o governo Estadual de investir no melhoramento dessas rodovias e cobram o pedágio para ressarcir os gastos. No entanto, no valor da gasolina é incluído o imposto de Contribuição de Intervenção de Domínio Econômico (Cide), e parte dele é destinado às estradas.

"No momento que abastecemos nosso carro, estamos pagando o pedágio. Não é necessário pagarmos novamente. Só queremos exercer nosso direito, a estrada é um bem público e não é justo pagarmos por um bem que já é nosso também".

Existem maneiras para passar nos pedágio sem precisar pagar. É só colar atrás de um caminhão quando for passar no SEM PARAR pois os caminhões passam devagar e a cancela demora para baixar.

Voces sabiam que, juridicamente, não há lei que permita a utilização de pedágios em estradas brasileiras.

Quanto a ser um patrimônio alheio, o fato, é que o pedágio e a cancela estão no meio do caminho onde os carros precisam passar e, até então, nunca vi cancelas ou pedágios ficarem danificados.

Quando for parado pela Polícia Rodoviária, e um guarda lhe disser que vai acompanhá-lo para pagar o pedágio. "Pergunte ao policial se ele presta algum serviço para a concessionária ou ao Estado. Afinal, um policial rodoviário trabalha para o Estado ou para o governo Federal e deve cuidar da segurança nas estradas. Já a empresa de pedágios, é privada, ou seja, não tem nada a ver uma coisa com a outra".

Existe mais uma discrepância no caso que os preços são iguais para pessoas de baixa renda, que possuem carros menores, e para quem tem um poder aquisitivo maior e automóveis melhores, muita gente não possui condições para gastar tanto com pedágios. Garanto também que o Estado está negando um direito da sociedade. "Não há o que defender ou explicar. A constituição é clara quando diz que todos nós temos o direito de ir e vir em todas as estradas do território nacional".
